No other production is quite like yours, and your Box Office and Front of House services should be just as special. Pop Up Box Office provides a customized experience, designed specifically for your audience.
Depending on your needs and the date(s) of your event, pricing can range from $200-$2000+. You can build your own package or choose hourly billing. Services listed below can be combined or provided in isolation. If you already know what you want, great! If you don't know where to start, great!

Box Office Management
- create event(s) online using Eventbrite or another ticketing system of your choosing
- maintain and manage online ticketing/advance sales
- walk up sales at the door (cash with manual receipts upon request, PayPal at the door, your own Square reader/mobile payment device at the door)
- complimentary ticket resources/community groups to help fill the audience at previews/low sales dates
- Pay-What-You-Can and Pay It Forward ticketing
- daily deposit
- float with locking cash box
- final reconciliation and reporting
- fully stocked with all paperwork and supplies including pens, highlighters, calculator, desk bell, etc
- post-mortem report
- with or without volunteers, depending on scale of event
- additional tasks as required
- your event listed on the Pop Up Box Office calendar
Front of House Management
- greet patrons
- maintain cleanliness and tidiness in public spaces and performance space
- create/deliver Front of House speech (prior to seating or at curtain), land acknowledgement
- plan for accessibility seating
- follow or create blackout/emergency exit plans
- predict possible patron needs including audience flow and timing
- liaise with stage management/handing over the house
- create/follow customer service policies for late seating, refunds, exchanges
- order and oversee concessions and bar sales
- coordinate your Special Occasions Permit through the AGCO
- Smart Serve certified
- Accessibility for Ontarions with Disabilities Act (AODA) trained
- fully stocked with supplies, including customized lanyards, flashlights, stationary supplies, tape, scissors, garbage bags, cleaning supplies (if necessary), all paperwork, signage ("reserved seating", "no entry", "archival recording", etc), tickets, raffle tickets, etc
- create and follow detailed schedule with up to minute-by-minute detail
- one event per day or festival style (multiple events in one day, at one or multiple venues)
- troubleshoot patron feedback/customer complaints
- keyholder/building lock up
- program stuffing, tracking program numbers so you know when to order more
- collecting ticket stubs for house count/reporting
- post-mortem report
- with or without volunteers, depending on scale of event
- additional tasks as required
- your event listed on the Pop Up Box Office calendar
Volunteer Coordinating
- assessment of volunteer needs and proposed schedule
- create and post 'call for volunteers' on social media, industry postings, your own mailing list, distributed to the Pop Up Volunteer Network
- training, on site or in advance, depending on scale of event and volunteer duties
- scheduling and communications with all volunteers, including updates throughout the run of the event (if necessary)
- detailed checklist of volunteer shift duties for volunteers to refer to before and throughout their shift
- shift and hour tracking
- confidential feedback/reporting for volunteers
- post-mortem report
- letter of reference, statement of hours worked provided to volunteers (by request)
- additional tasks as required
NOTE: The majority of the Pop Up Volunteer Network is based in Toronto and will be unable to travel to out-of-town events. In that case, more prep time may be allocated to local volunteer recruitment.
