Your Box Office and
​Front of House Manager

FRANNY McCABE-BENNETT

I am passionate about theatre, including and almost especially, the audience's experience. As a performer, my job is to do that on stage. As a Box Office and Front of House Manager, my job is to do that everywhere else.

​With over 15 years and thousands of hours of experience, I am ready to take on all of your patron service needs. I can create and manage your advance ticket sales/online box office, walk up sales, coordinate complimentary tickets and discount codes, pay-what-you-can events, daily deposits and final reconciliation. I can help you plan for accessibility seating, follow or create blackout/emergency exit plans, predict possible patron needs including traffic flow and timing, liaise with stage management, customer service policies for late seating, refunds, exchanges, ordering and overseeing concessions and bar sales including coordinating your Special Occasions Permit through the AGCO, and more. I am Smart Serve certified and AODA trained. With my fully stocked kit already prepped with necessary paperwork and office supplies, all of your box office and front of house needs will be met - and for the cost of printing, I can also create customized re-usable signage for your company!

I have worked for the following companies in a management role: fu-Gen Asian Canadian Theatre Company, the Toronto Fringe Festival, the Next Stage Theatre Festival, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Factory Theatre, Toronto Festival of Clowns, SOULO Theatre Festival. In addition, I have worked on the patron services teams at Young People's Theatre,  the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, Humber Theatre, University of Guelph School of English and Theatre Studies and more.

As an independent theatre producer with an additional background in audience enrichment and education in the arts, I can also assist with marketing and media, planning and moderating talkbacks and panels, community partnerships and sponsorships and creating educational resources. 

MY TEAM

I can recruit, train and oversee a team of volunteers to assist with the smooth running of your event. I have a diverse pool of skilled, friendly, reliable volunteers I have worked with for years who are eager to help with your production. I will also help you tap into your own team of potential volunteers by creating and sharing a 'call for volunteers' on social media, e-blasts and industry postings.
